GlokkNine’s “Leonardo Da G9” video & his new mixtape

GlokkNine has been an artist I have been listening to for a hot minute now and I have been watching his career grow and grow and grow. So imagine my surprise when I see he has released a new music video and this is the first one that I know of, that is not directed by Drewfilmedit.

Why does this matter?

In the grand scheme of things, it doesnt. But I have just become so use to hearing “if drew didn’t film it, then it aint filmed right” at the beginning of every glokknine video.

GlokkNine needs to get back to working with that kid cause drews tagline is almost as good as metro boomin’s or halfpint filmz.

In the meantime, you should check out his newest tape Lil Glokk That Stole Khristmas and you absolutely musttttt listen to his track “Xmas Song” which I pray he does a video for!

Is “Dat Way” the song that breaks Elle Teresa to the American market?

I think this is the song that’s going to get Elle Teresa’s name out further in the states. This song bangs and sounds like the perfect blend of Japanese & American Sugar Trap…

4 more Instagram models and strippers turned rappers

Colorful Pre Rolled Cones

Previously I wrote an article called “3 strippers turned rappers not named Cardi B” that has gotten a steady stream of views daily since I posted it. Since the writing of that article I have come across a handful of other strippers and Instagram models who are attempting to turn an online following into a music fanbase, with varying degrees of success. Below you can find four of the more successful, interesting, or entertaining, ones that I think need to be showcased.

Curly Redd is an exotic dancer from Florida who has been making a name for herself on Instagram posting some of the craziest twerk videos and videos of herself at different events. She has grown her following to 219K followers and has branched out into other categories such as appearing in videos with instagram comedians like @tpindell and into the music category with her first official video release “Only Up From Here”.

Screenshot 2018-10-15 11.56.32.png

MikeilaJ is an instagram model / twerker who I have posted before on my IG account DopeDealerTV and she has a healthy following of 88.9k on IG currently. One thing that I have noticed she is doing is creating a little buzz for herself by posting videos like this;

Now you might be saying, “aight so what, whats different from her doing that” well her song is playing in the background and if you look at the comments you will see people asking, “what song is that?” and how she responds saying she hasn’t actually released it yet. It comes out, October 21st actually.

Update: Mikeilaj’s first official video is out now.

Baby Doll Forbes is an instagram model and brand ambassador with a following of over 463K on instagram. I have followed her for awhile on multiple accounts I run and have never seen anything that would have led me to believe she was trying to be a rapper BUT lo and behold a couple of days ago, I am scrolling and I see this freestyle video from her;

Ty.ni is an exotic dancer and “published urban model” who has over 227k+ followers on Instagram where she mainly posts videos of herself twerking or dancing at the club. She currently has only one song out that I know of.

CuratedFlame Music Video Roundup

Aight so I am back in full swing. If you haven’t read any of the previous articles where I talked about my absence or seen on the CuratedFlame instagram, I was away for a month and a half, 2 months, working on a tv show shooting in my city. But the job is winding down until it eventually stops in November, so I am back to focusing heavily on CuratedFlame.

This article is really just a round up of music videos that I think are worthy of checking out and I think you might end up finding a few gems for your catalog. I will try to drop more articles like this when I have a whole bunch of new music to show you.

Artist: Hobo Johnson  Song: Father

Thoughts: Hobo Johnson is an artist I wrote about before when he first came to my attention when his song “Peach Scones” started making a buzz and I immediately started fxcking with his music. Due to his style he’s one of those artists who not every song they drop is going to be a banger to you so I only currently have a handful of tracks that I listen to by him, like “Peach Scone”, “Demarcus Cousins & Ashley”, and “Before Kill The Internet”.

But now he’s got a new banger called “Father” which is classic Hobo Johnson, slice of life paint a picture of various scattered topics composed of lyrics spoken over a musical backing that seems like it could have been a score for any Wes Anderson or Diablo Cody film.

Artist: Lil Dusty G Song: “Dead End”

Thoughts: Lil Dusty G is another artist that I wrote about earlier this year, just like Hobo Johnson, in fact I wrote about him about a month earlier then Hobo. First time I saw his music, I knew he was going to go far even if I wasn’t messing with it to hard. But with this track, I have probably listened to this song 1 to 3 times a day since it was released a month ago, and my only gripe is that it isn’t longer.

Artist: Big Baby Scumbag Song: Victoria Secret

Thoughts: This just looks like it was a fun video to make. Also I think Big Baby Scumbag must be signed to Awful Records now? or apart of that collective cause this video was released through them. So if he is signed to them now, then congrats on that bro.

Artist: Jack Karowak  Song: Traveler

Thoughts: good stoner, college rap, vibes and lyrics but damn that is not a rap moniker I agree with.

Aritst: Clairo Song: “Better”

Thoughts: I been telling the hip hop world about Clairo. The following video for her has been on my playlist for the last month or so and I don’t see that ending anytime soon.

Artist: Anxiety Attacks  Song: GPS

Thoughts: I actually don’t like this next song, I just want to point out that this dude’s rap name is “Anxiety Attacks” lol props for creativity. Thats in the same realm as “Wifisfuneral” and “ITSOKAYTOCRY”.

Lil Gotit “Don’t Hate Me” verges on ironic

Alamo Records artist “Lil Gotit” is a rapper I just only now heard of but he seems like he has the potential to raise his profile up and become a bigger name. Sonically the track his dope and definitely sounds like thugga man himself made this track which depending on your opinions can be good and bad.

Here’s the thing when the video starts and Gotit begins your immediately drawn in however the second he got to saying “YSL”, it was cemented for me that he is a huge Young Thug fan. Which doesn’t stop me from appreciating the song however it’s just if you were already wondering if the dude is influenced by Young Thug, you don’t have to ask yourself anymore after that.

Overall the song is dope and has replay value and will keep me clicking his videos whenever I see them pop up.

*If your wondering who the guy prominently featured throughout the video sitting next to Lil Gotit is, its Hoodrich Pablo Juan, another artist on the Alamo Records label and someone whose had a name buzzing online and in the streets for yeaaars.

Pittsburgh Duo, Social House, releases visuals “Magic In The Hamptons”

I just discovered this song on YouTube though the video has already been out for three days racking up over 750k views. Originally I had no idea who the fxck “Social House” was and then seeing the make up they had on the video I was like what the fxck is this so I did a little research.

And turns out this duo, consisting of “Mikey” and “Scootie”, are from my hometown Pittsburgh, Pa! What?! That’s awesome and it makes me so geeked to see Pittsburgh artists making a name for themselves.

Now don’t get it twisted they don’t currently still live in the Pittsburgh area, they both have been in LA for a couple years now I learned in an interview they did with the prelude press. Moving to LA on two different journeys they ended up working at the same production house and working together on multiple projects writing and producing for big names across genres.

Now they are trying to push their own music instead of make music for others and well shxt, they made a banger. Originally released in June, the track has racked up over 1.5 Million views on YouTube and the video for it, like I said earlier, got released 3 days ago and racked up 750k views so far. The video directed by Cole Bennett is dope and overall I see this song getting way more attention now that the video is out!

Sidenote – Chance The Rapper and Kyle both need to hop on a remix of this.

&

Shouts out to Lil Yachty for having making such a relatable yet lame, and corny lyric, sound so fxcking dope. “I’m a mama’s boy, so you gotta meet my mamma first!”

Send beats to rappers today with my free October Email Pack.

I am releasing this FREE october email pack for two reasons;

  1. I know there are producers and graphic designers who can’t afford the email pack I sell which is why every now and then I drop free or super cheap email packs to help yall out. Because at the end of the day I am hoping that one day one of you will be the next sonny digital or metro boomin and will shout me out in an interview like “I got my first placement off one of these email packs from this site curatedflame.com” or something like that. Idk that just would be so cool!
  2. There are a hella bunch of producers and graphic designers who are skeptical of my email pack and I get that. I don’t really give off to much info about it like all the artist on the email pack but that’s because if I did give out to much info, well then what would you need me for? But hey heres a free email pack of 34 rappers for you to check it out, obviously it just a minor representation of my full email pack which is stacked at over 400+ rappers and growing.

GlokkNine’s newest track is a “fiesta”

GlokkNine’s visuals and audio for his song “Fiesta” are pure fire. Since his track 10 percent I haven’t had a new song from him that I was banging to hard. But that has definitely changed with this “fiesta” release. Lord knows I will play this song every damn time I go to Florida.

Sidenote – I wish I was there when GlokkNine first heard this beat. I already know he geeked tf up! This songs bpm and just overall sound is FIRE AF and matches GlokkNine and the whole Florida sound perfectly. Shouts out to the producer TayMasterChef because he is a muhfxcking maestro!

Another sidenote – personally I am in the group that thinks GlokkNine has his own sound and the Kodak Black comparisons are just easy criticisms. However, I already know Kodak Black is pissed af he didn’t hear this beat first! If I was a producer on the come up in Florida tryna get a fat stack I would definitely submit the same beat to Glokk and Kodak and make them bid it out over it.
