Yeezus. I found HurtboyAG through twitter and when I reached out to him to do an interview I did not realize the extensive resume this homie had. He’s produced for Yung Lean, Maxo Kream, Smokepurpp, and the dude’s got 7 placements with Chief Keef and Fredo Santana just to name some of his credits! How did I not know about him up until a couple days ago? This right here is why I do this! In hopes people will find articles/interviews like this one and find out about the person behind the beat.

Funniest reason/excuse a rapper ever gave you for not having the money for a beat on time?
they had to wait till some Jordans sold on grailed
Where are you from?
Born and raised in Los Angeles
How long have you been producing? Why/How did you get into it?
I been producing for like 6-7 years seriously, almost 10 years though since i started messin around with it.
When did you know you made it? or that this could be an actual career for you?
I wouldn’t necessarily say i made it. But i guess when people knew who i was and start sayin my tag or some shit make me feel like im known for my music.
I used to ask people what is the most they made from a beat, and some producers don’t like to flex. So I am changing this question to can you tell us about (me and the readers) the coolest, or most satisfying, OR the most expensive beat sale, you’ve ever done?
I sold some beat to some kid from Australia or some shit who was a super big fan of the music we was doing. i dont really charge too much for beats but i kinda threw a wild number out there and they was down to pay. definitely made a few racks 🙂
Who are your biggest influences?
My biggest influences in music are probably the artists i work with, a lot of the atlanta producers C4, Tm, dun deal , spinz , to all my homies in this music shit xool, dro , lingo, bluey, foster, sosa ,jg, ralphs n them, i listened to a lot of different shit growing up.
Want to give any shoutouts?
Shout out to my mom
What do you find is the best platform or avenue of selling your beats? and why?
never had a traktrain or any of that bullshit. i just say hit me up, if they want a beat from me people will hit me up on my email.
Do you have any other income streams besides crafting instrumentals? like, do you sell shoutouts or do you also song write, or write books, etc?
definitely not out here selling reposts or any of that clown shit… i been trappin a lil bit
What is something about you people would be surprised to know?
that i was on house arrest for a year or that im a “white kid” i really am mexican
Whats your process for making a beat?
i dont really got a process i just make em
What do your beats normally cost?
250$-300$ but if u cool ill give u a deal
Any stories on how you got some of your placements?
Not really…. I guess when i sent Sosa beats he recorded on every single one of em in one night.
What Hardware or software do you use? is there any reason why you like to particularly use what you use?
i use logic and FLstudio. Recently i been makin alll my beats on FLstudio, i use Logic cuz im really quick and fast on it but recently i like the way FL sounds better.
What are your plans for 2018?
2018 i been working a lot back with Sosa, Ballout and Tadoe tryna get some crazy shit. i want to make a complete project somthin big with them , we already got like 7-8 songs done. ummm We got some stuff coming out that Fredo did before he passed, also Capo me and sosa got a song coming out. I got some stuff coming out with Goonew and Lil Dude that im pretty excited for. Hopefully this year i can show people what ive been working on since i kind of took a break from music last year.
Who do you think will part of the new wave in 2018? (producer wise and rapper wise)
All the homies on the come up rn. My boy bluey goin crazy already got #1 song out rn he did that Paranoid song with post malone, he really talented and good to see my people gettin up. Umm foster the homie who doin all of gleesh stuff is goin super crazy im excited to see whats next this music shit is always changin i think its all up for grabs at this point!
