Last week two videos were released by rappers, I had never heard of, one video was by Yungeen Ace for a song called “All In” and the other was by JayDaYoungan, for a song called “Interstate”. Both videos were released on the WorldStarHipHop youtube channel.

It’s been 9 days for the Yungeen Ace video and its at a healthy and respectable 377K views and for the JayDaYoungan video its currently on its 8th day since release and the video has begun making waves and accumulated 1.7 Millions views.  Its undeniable that both of these songs have incredible first week numbers and probably have some legs and will each probably rack up millions of more views.

I don’t think either of these songs are going to do “Kooda” by 6ix9ine numbers but just like with Kooda, I wondered who was the producer behind these internet / underground hits. So I did some research and found out that there was a producer who had a hand in making both beats who goes by the name Two4Flex. He co produced the Yungeen Ace track with TahJ$ and then produced the JayDaYoungan track by himself. So I reached out and we did an interview. Below you can find out more about this producer and check out some of his beats that are still for sale.

Major credits? (artist/song)
I wouldn’t say too many “major’ artists most are upcoming. Nba 3three, Funny

How old are you? I’m 22
Anything funny or crazy ever happen in this game we call rap?
Nothing too crazy so far with the industry but as for coming up producing it was times
recording wanna-be singers and trying not to laugh.
Where are you from? Jacksonville, Fl

How long have you been producing? Why/How did you get into it? Producing seriously for about 2 1/2 years but I originally started getting into music when
I was 15 trying to make beats for my cousin. I made beats on a korg triton keyboard and
they were trash compared to now lol, I only did it for a little under a year, then stopped
and just stuck with basketball until I graduated.
What’s the dopest thing to happen to you since you started making music and releasing product? Honestly being able to work for myself and not have a boss telling me what to do.
Who are your biggest influences? really anybody who is working hard, investing in themselves and taking risks to be where they want to be.
Want to give any shoutouts? Shoutout to all the people that show love and support fr, it’s rare to have people that appreciate the things do.

What is something about you people would be surprised to know? I don’t know how to play any instruments or read music lol
Whats your process for making a beat? I always start with the melody first.
What do your beats normally cost? Leases start at 30$ but exclusives, nothing under 500$
What is the most you have made from one beat? 1000$
Any stories on how you got some of your placements? Nothing crazy, artist usually find me from off of YouTube.
What Hardware or software do you use? I use FL studios for all my beats
How many leases or beats do you think you sold in 2017? I started selling beats in the middle of 2017, but I have no clue. After a month or so it was everyday thing, too many to count.

Do you receive royalties from any of your beats? Can you give an example with actual numbers? Nah no royalties so far but they on the way.
What does youtube monetization look like for you can you give number examples?  I’ve made 1k so far on youtube video ad monetization
What are your plans for 2018? Just doubling up, working twice as hard and doing better than last year.
