Only 14 years old and he’s already produced a hit for Famous Dex! Interview + 4 beats with Hip Hop Producer Synwins

My friend was playing Revenge by Famous Dex and I saw that there was a producer named Synwins who produced it. Curious if I could secure an interview with them, I sent them an email and they responded back quickly. Turns out they had heard about my site before cause I have actually interviewed two of their biggest influences, Dollie and Lowsock.

Below you can check out the interview + 4 beats that are still available for sale by the producer known as synwins.

Major Credits (artist / song)? My only major credit as of now is Famous Dex’s song Revenge, but I hope that’ll change soon.

How old are you? I’m 14 years old
Where are you from?  I’m from Northern Virginia.
How long have you been producing? I first started making trap beats in March of this year.
What’s the dopest thing to happen to you since you started making music and releasing product? The dopest thing I’d say is the overwhelming support I’ve received and friendships I’ve made over these last few months. Without the people I’ve met I would be nowhere.

Who are your biggest influences? My biggest influences are Dollie, Lowsock, And Wave God. I can’t really explain what it is about their beats that makes them good, but I can’t help but be inspired by them.

Want to give any shoutouts? Shoutout to Bando Music Group!
What is something about you people would be surprised to know? I only use 3 plugins.
Whats your process for making a beat? I start off with a simple melodies, some simple drums, and then build off of it. Then I layer, mix, and arrange. I don’t do anything special
What do your beats normally cost? $15 for leases, $100 for exclusives, buy 2 get 1 free!
What is the most you have made from one beat? My first sale ever, I sold a beat that me and risvi made exclusively for $250.
Any story or stories on how you secured some of your placements? I sent Dex beats almost every week for a few months until I finally got a placement with him. After the first few times, it kind of became a tradition. I didn’t think he’d actually hop on one of mine.
Do you use Hardware or software? I use Fl Studio 12 and a mouse and keyboard.

How many leases or beats, do you think you have sold in your career?  I’ve sold about $1,000 worth of beats total in my short career as a producer. Hopefully I can get to 5k by the end of next year.

what are your plans for 2018? Improve my sound, technique, and produce some fire songs.
Do you receive royalties for any of your beats? can you provide any insights?
Not yet, no. While getting credit for my work is important to me, I feel I have other things to focus on first.
I know very little about royalties and how to collect them. Someone who knows a lot, though, is Glohan Beats. If anyone needs to know about how to secure money for their work I recommend going to him.
