How old are you? 22 yrs

Where are you from?  Los Angeles area

How long have you been producing? about 3 years

What’s the dopest thing to happen to you since you started making music and releasing product? Waking up to sales and big placements.

Who are your biggest influences? West Coast LA/Bay Area music, Zaytoven, Rick Ross, Dr.Dre, Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nipsey Hussle, Lil Wayne, Buckethead and any beats including samples is what I tend to gravitate to.

Want to give any shoutouts? Everyone who knows me for my beats before my videography.

What is something about you people would be surprised to know? I am primarily a videographer, can play guitar, been to firefighting school, and new hobby is snowboarding.

Whats your process for making a beat? Need to be in a creative mood.  Start off with melody first and then add drums last.

What do your beats normally cost? $30 lease, $300 exclusive

What is the most you have made from one beat? $500 when I primarily made beats for an exclusive.

Any story or stories on how you secured some of your placements? I got my first Famous Dex placement the day after we shot our first music video together for “Big Blue”  I came back the next day and he showed me a beat he hopped on which was “Hot like a Balloon” which now has about 1 million on YouTube and 1 million on Soundcloud.

Do you use Hardware or software? Obviously I use software like most Producers today, but I do use a Midi Keyboard and occassionally the MPC or guitar when I feel like going outside the box.

How many leases or beats, do you think you have sold in your career?  Honestly too many to think about but if I had to take a guess, I would say around 400 or more.

what are your plans for 2018? Getting some good placements but more importantly build with an artist and focus on a project of theirs.  Selling more beats than 2017 on my website www.LewisYouNasty.com
