“Money Keep Calling” : Interview with Music Video Director TerenceEnn

How old are you?

Where are you from?

Spartanburg, SC. Originally born in Stockton, CA but pretty much raised in Spartanburg. My parents are from Cambodia. so I’m first born generation in the US.

How did you get in the game?

When I was a senior in high school, I had a friend named Amavi who was starting to make music, he knew I was making videos so he asked me if I could shoot his first music video.

Little did I know that was the first step into making visuals in the rap game.

What kind of camera do you use?

I originally started using a Canon T3i then moved on to a Canon 70D. For the higher end projects I would rent out cameras like the Sony A7sii.

How long have you been shooting videos

For about 8 years. I started filming in middle school as a hobby, it wasn’t until after high school that I’d make a career out of it.

I’ve been shooting music videos for about 2 years.

What has been the most fun music video to make? Either Guap Da Menace’s “Rambo” or Saluda’s “We’re Not Alright”. We had so many bloopers while shooting we could not stop laughing.

I wish people could see how much we actually goof off compared to the actual music video.

Who are your biggest influences?

My biggest influences are the younger up and coming directors like Cole Bennett and Jerry PHD.

Also directors like A Zae, GTFilms, CreativeRyan, YCImaging, Cotton Films, and Karltin Bankz are also some of my favorites.
